JOB DESCRIPTION

Description: Masters degree in nutrition science or equivalent and have at least two years of responsible experience as a nutritionist in education, social services, maternal and child health, public health nutrition or dietetics preferred, or registered or eligible for registration with the American Dietetic Association and have at least two years administration and clinical experience. Must have at least a bachelor degree from an accredited four year institution with emphasis in food & nutrition, community nutrition , public health nutrition, nutrition science or equivalent. Must have at least three years of responsible experience as a nutritionist in education, social services, maternal child health, public health, nutrition, or dietetics; or be qualified as a senior public health nutritionist; or meet the IHS standard for a public health nutritionist; and have at least one of the following: program development skills, education background and experience in the development of educational and training resource material, community action experience, counseling skills or experience in participant advocacy. Must be physically able to lift materials and boxes in excess of 50 pounds. Must pass Federal, State and Tribal criminal background checks and incumbent is subject to mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
